AFI-Lab Teaching activities

For external experts

AFI-Lab is regularly organizing teaching activities and exercises that involve external researchers and experts from other universities or companies. Such teaching activities are usually organized around certain instruments or measuring set ups available in the AFI-Lab. Previous teaching activities focused on stability issues of agricultural machinery, correct adjustment of orchard spraying technologies and crop monitoring in fruit orchards and vineyards.

Third mission

AFI-Lab organizes and participates regularly in teaching activities that fall under the label terza missione (third mission), which means the dissemination of the activities of the lab to a non-professional, lifelong learning audience. AFI-Lab, due to its core topics agriculture and forestry, is by its nature very close to manufacturers and users of machinery. Using the right machinery and technologies in a correct manner, makes the difference in the agri-forestry sector. Furthermore, through our general learning and information activities, we seek to sensibilize producers, consumers and citizens for sustainable technical solutions relevant to the challenges in South Tirol.
