Welcome to the Agroforestry Innovation Laboratory (AFI-Lab) of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.

The AFI-Lab was set up by the research group of Prof. Fabrizio Mazzetto and is constantly evolving. The research of the laboratory deals with modern solutions in agriculture and forestry in mountain contexts. In particular, we address specific safety and operative problems of mountain farming, and develop appropriate solutions especially for the South Tyrolian context. The AFI-Lab is equipped with state of the art instruments to test existing technologies or prototypes and evaluate their performance in mountain ecosystems.
