Research Group
The research group is made up of people with different skills to create the fundamental synergies to be able to address the study of agroforestry and agri-food systems. The team’s skills allow it to consider studies and research focused on very specific aspects, as well as on the technical, economic, environmental and management performance of the entire system inserted in the context of its environment or value chain.
Professors

Prof. Fabrizio Mazzetto
Farm Machinery and Mechanisation
Main research topics: a) agricultural mechanics and mechanisation, including the development of prototypes of agricultural machinery featured by radical innovations (stripper heads for cereal harvesting, small articulated tractors for the steep lands), b) safety working conditions on extreme environments; c) mitigation of drift phenomena from spraying applications; d) information technology for the digital management of farm processes, including precision agriculture and automation, e) energy applications in the rural sector.

Prof. Andreas Gronauer
Agro-System-Engineering
The research interests cover a range of environmental technologies and agricultural engineering topics, with a particular focus on sustainability. The research domain concerns the global area of environmental and agricultural technology.
